  • Bible (any translation)
  • Evergreen Branches (optional)
  • Bread and ''wine'' (non-alcoholic options are welcome) (optional)

1. Cast circle

2. Recite Charge of the Goddess

3. Meditate on the meaning of prophecies of Jesus' coming, meditate on hope for the future.

4. Light the first Purple taper and read Isaiah 40:9-11 and/or Luke 1:46-55 from your Bible.

5. Pray "Holy Mother Father God, thank You for sending Your prophets to prepare the world for Your son. Thank You for preserving these prophecies for us in the bible. As we are in the midst of our preparations for Christmas and Yule -- decorating, shopping, parties, concerts -- help us to make time to prepare our hearts for Jesus' arrival. please use this season of Advent to draw us nearer to You. Amen, So Mote it Be."

6. Blow out candle when ready. 

7. Eat bread and drink wine while meditating on message.
